I realized I haven't posted any pictures of my beautiful kids in a while....so here are some for your viewing enjoyment.
My beautiful son. With the beautiful smile. (Ignore the red eyes.)
Brother and sister time. They love to play on the floor together. They get along really well! (For now. Ha!)
The two men in my life.
The prettiest little girl I've ever seen.
My cuddle-bug. He has become so much more affectionate the past few weeks. He is definitely a momma's boy!
True love.
Rockin' the camos.
We had a rather busy weekend. Cleaned and home repairs the WHOLE time. The appraisor is coming tomorrow morning so I can finally relax. Just one more pick up and sweep tonight, and he is coming at 9:30 in the morning. Yes! I am ready for it to be done. Not that I haven't enjoyed this spotless house, but keeping it that way with two little kids is a C-H-O-R-E. I feel for whoever is trying to sell a house with little kids. Yikes.

I need.....
- About 2 days of uninterrupted time to clean my house, and catch up on laundry to get ready for the appraisal.
- About a week of uninterrupted time to pray, write, work on my music, and just be with the Lord.
- A vacation with my family. Maybe Hawaii...(hey, it's MY list.)
- A manicure and pedicure.
- Another tax refund.
- Direction and clarity; a spirit of wisdom a revelation.
- A date with my husband more than once every six months.
- JoAnna to move back to NWA. (heehee)
- More time during the week to work on my Tueday night prayer room sets.
- More time to spend in The Word. I don't know, like 18 hours a day. Is that asking too much?
- Someone to plan my menus and shopping lists for me.
- A massage.
- A "How to raise a three year old" manual.
I could go on, but as I'm typing, I'm looking at my son sitting on the floor next to me, smiling at me like I'm the center of his universe; thinking about the 5 hours I got to spend, kid-free, with my husband yesterday and how utterly amazing he is; about my daughter, asleep in her bed, who just told me before I put her down that Jesus is her best friend; listening to the IHOP webcast on my computer and thinking about how I get to spend 2 hours in the prayer room tonight singing to my Jesus; thinking of my bestest friend in the whole wide world and how I can't believe the Lord gave her to me; and I can't seem to remember all of the other things I thought I was lacking.....thank you, Lord, for THIS season I am in, RIGHT NOW. Thank you for being my resting place, my "hammock". Thanks.

Sunday
No pictures today, as I am lounging on my bed while kids are napping and I'm too lazy to go get my camera.
Last week was pretty busy around here. My mom is continuing to recuperate well from her surgery, and is anxious to get back to normal. I haven't seen her since we took her home, I've been giving her a chance to rest, but Briley is dying to see her, and so am I. So I think we might make a short visit this afternoon.
We finally got our tax refunds and I just want to say THANK YOU LORD! That's all I have to say about that. God is good. And it feels SO extra good to pay off debts.
Also on the money topic, our mortgage company called Wednesday and said that we qualified to refinance at a lower interest rate....so Ronnie talked to them and the interest rate right now is 2 whole points lower than what we have right now. AMEN to that!!! So we are going to go ahead and do it, and our monthly payment is going to drop dramatically. Things were getting kind of tight around here, but the Lord always provides. But...we have to have an appraisal so that means time to CLEAN HOUSE like a mad woman. That's what I've been doing all week. And Ronnie has been finishing little odd jobs and repairs that have been sitting around a while. I have no idea when they are coming so I'm trying to get it all done ASAP....but getting that accomplished along with two little kids...well, it's kind of a moment by moment thing.
Other than that, nothing too interesting....just loving the sunshine today after rain all day yesterday. I'll probably take the kids outside after nap to play while Ronnie does some outside work...I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

Update on my mom
My mom's surgery went well. They removed the tumor, double checked it, and it IS benign. Thank you Lord! She is in a bit of pain, has a pretty severe sore throat and headache, but as I left her house a bit ago, she had just taken some pain medicine, so she should be feeling GREAT right about now! I remember taking that after I had both my kiddos, and it is LOVELY stuff. Ha! Thanks for the prayers, I know they made a difference.

My mom
Please pray for my mom today, she is having surgery on her thyroid to remove a benign tumor. It is supposed to be an out-patient procedure, barring no difficulties. Please pray for peace for her, and for everything to go smoothly. Thanks!

Just a Tuesday
I have no pictures to post today....maybe next time.
So I took Deacon to his 9 month checkup today, two weeks late. They were supposed to call me and schedule it but I never heard from them, so I took it upon myself to call them, and had to wait two weeks.
So he weighs 22 pounds; he is in the 75th percentile for height, and weight. He has tapered off just a bit since his 6 month checkup. Doctor said I can pretty much start feeding him whatever I want to now. This should be interesting! I can't remember this stage with Briley at all, what did you guys start out with your kids?
He had to get shots, and a toe prick to check for anemia. He did fine with the toe, but it broke his little heart getting his shots. Briley got upset at the nurses for hurting her bubby, and she said "You guys, leave him alone!" She is very protective of her bubby.
Tonight is my worship set at the House of Prayer so I need to work on music, I need to clean my kitchen and do some laundry, and I have to babysit my friends daughter for about an hour or so tonight....but right now, I think I'm going to take advantage of both of my sleeping children and take a nap. Have a great day!

Small Talk Six on Saturdays
I found this idea on MomDot today, and thought it sounded really fun.
It gives a topic for every Saturday, and you respond with 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, or 6 photos. I may not be faithful and do it EVERY weekend, but I thought it would be fun to try. So, here goes:
This week, you have to list "the 6 places you would like to travel to if you had someone trustworthy to watch your children and pets."
1. Hawaii
2. Ireland
3. New York City
4. Prince Edward Island
5. Alaska
6. Israel
Ok, now I really have the travel bug.

Bargains, and another prayer request.
Last night when Ronnie got home from work, we headed to the Rhea Lana consignment sale. I wanted to go yesterday morning when they opened, but shopping for clothes, alone, with two little kids, didn't sound like something I wanted to tackle.
Anyway, I got so much good stuff for Deacon! The girls stuff was kind of picked over already, but I got some cute things for Briley too. I spend $74 and got 26 items! Of course I'm a nerd, so I had to figure out how much I paid on average for each thing. it was around $3.30 a piece! I love bargains. Here is everything I got:
God is good. Both kids needed summer clothes pretty badly, especially the man, and I don't really have the extra money right now. Well it turned out that this sale was the same week I get paid for my piano lessons I teach, so there you go!
This is my favorite shirt I found for D:
The little boy wearing it is pretty special, too.
I found a great deal for Briley, too. All of her gymnastics outfits are getting way too small, and the really nice ones at Durham's where she goes are pretty high. I found this one for a 4th of the price, and it's practically brand new!
On a different note, please pray for my mom. She is going to have surgery on the 17th of this month on her thyroid. She has a benign tumor, on her parathyroid glands, and it is making her feel pretty sick all the time, and it is taking the calcium from her bones, similar to osteoperosis. Please remember her in your prayers, that she would stay healthy until the surgery, and that everything would go smoothly. Thanks!

My garden, and a prayer request.
Just thought I would post some new pics of my little garden, they are growing so fast! Last night they were just barely peeking through the soil, and when I got up this morning, this is what I saw:
I can't believe I am actually growing a plant. Every time I have ever tried to grow something, or even keep something alive that was already grown, it always dies. Always. I SO do not have a green thumb. So I was pretty excited to see this today!
On a totally different note, please pray for Tonya, (a friend of a friend). She is pregnant with a baby boy, Jude, and he is very sick, which in turn is making Tonya sick. He is not expected to live and they are doing a C-section today to deliver him. Please intercede for Tonya today, she needs a lot of covering during this very difficult time.
Here is a link to her blog: Tonya
