Mother's Day

I wanted to post yesterday, but I was totally not in the mood, and it was a crazy day. Ronnie had stuff after work last night so he didn't make it home until 7:30, which made the crazy day with my kids even crazier. By the time he walked in the door, Briley was screaming, Deacon was screaming as I was trying to hold him down to change a REALLY horrible diaper, and the whole house smelled like said horrible diaper. I finished with Deacon, handed him to Ronnie, and went to the bathroom and shut the door. I'm sure it was a lovely homecoming for him. Ha! Let's hope today is better!!!

Today we are going to have lunch with Ronnie, and head over to the party store to get supplies for D's birthday party. All of their kids supplies are 50% off this week! Sweet!

So I had a really fabulous Mother's Day. Ronnie woke me up with the kids, a card, and a present:

New perfume! Sweet, since I dropped and broke my FAVORITE bottle of perfume (Victoria's Secret Pink) on the floor and it shattered. Grrrr....

We went to church, and Ronnie's parents and grandmother came with us. It was an awesome service. Here's something I learned that I bet you didn't know: (If you did know, just humor me.)

Did you know, in Proverbs 31, that "King Lemuel" who was talking to, and about, his mother (The "Proverbs 31 Woman") was King Solomon? Lemuel was a sort of nick-name for Solomon. Sooooo.....that means that the Proverbs 31 woman that we all hear so much about and strive to be like is.......Bathsheba! Wow! I SO didn't know that! How encouraging is that. Even though she had a really rough start, she ended up in the end being the woman the scriptures say is the woman who was worth far more than rubies, and that she is the one we should strive to be like? Makes me feel a whole lot better! It really was a great sermon.

So we came home and had naps, then we went shopping for a bit. I got a new book:

I have the first two in the series (Black and Red) and I can't wait to read the sequel. Ted Dekker is one of my absolute favorite authors.

We went to have dinner with Ronnie's parents at Joe's Italian restaraunt and it was so yummy! It's new, we haven't had a chance to eat there yet, and I am definitely hoping they stay because it was fabulous!

I was a bit bummed, MY mom was out of town on Mother's Day. They went to see some friends in Memphis so dad could play in a golf tournament yesterday, so I didn't get to see my mom. So Saturday, before they left, my mom, sister and I went shopping together and had some lunch. It was a lot of fun to have girl time.

Here are some pics with my family from Mother's Day. I hope you all had a blessed one!

Me with my big girl. She is getting so big!

Me with my son. He was playing in Briley's room and I didn't want to take him away for a picture, since he was happy. This was the only one where I could get him to sit still!

See, we had a VERY hard time getting them to be still.

Success!! Sort of....

Me and my baby.

You look great with bangs! My dad used Proverbs 31 when he officiated my grandmother's funeral in January. It described her perfectly. I hope and pray my life can reflect that scripture as well
