We had a very busy day! This morning we went to Crystal Bridges Museum. This was our first time to go, and we loved it! The kids did amazing, and really enjoyed the art more than I thought they would. As we were leaving, an older lady came up to me and said they were behind us through the whole museum and she wanted to tell me how well behaved my kids were, and how impressed she was with them. Makes me feel like I'm doing something right! :) This first picture is of a painting we all really liked.
Looking out over the river.
We took a break from the artwork and stopped off at the kids dress up area. You could pick a different outfit and stand in the "picture frame". Briley is an indian holding a possum. :)
Deacon was an army general with a pet bird. Ha!
A painting I totally fell in love with.
A real Norman Rockwell, Rosie the Riviter!
A Pinnochio statue that the kids liked
Deacon hopped up here and said "take my picture!!!"
A really cool piece of art
Ronnie liked this, it was the alphabet
After we went through all the exhibits inside we took the Art Walk trail outside
On the way home, we stopped by this really cool playset and played for a while
Later this afternoon we stopped by Fun City. The kids have been saving tickets and coins for a long time and wanted to cash them in.
It was a great day, but we are tired. :)
